About Cavan

I’m a creative director at Wunderman Thompson (formerly POSSIBLE), leading cross disciplinary teams to create products and experiences that make meaningful impact for businesses. Over the years, I've have worked with established brands like AT&T, Bayer, Cadillac, Con Edison, Microsoft, Morgan Stanley, Nestle-Purina, The North Face, and TIME. Just as importantly, I've carved out time to worked with organizations like 9/11 Day, ACLU, AIGA, GrowNYC, PBS, Yale, and the National Endowment for the Arts.

I love creating complete digital and physical experiences that not only deliver functional benefits, but also reach people on an emotional level. The most interesting challenges are ones where we have the opportunity to positively shape our environments and behaviors. By Design, is not just my way of working, it's my philosophy. Ultimately I want to design a more inclusive world where cities are smart, tech reduces stress and healthy food is delicious.

I've been a visiting professor at my alma matter, Rhode Island School of Design, and have lectured at NYU, Parsons, Brown, Appalachian State, CUNY and Fordham. Outside of work, you'll find me riding my road bike, playing jazz piano, or watching obscene numbers of movies without shame.
