About Cavan Huang

I’m a group creative director of experience design at Huge, leading multi disciplinary teams to create human-centered brand experiences that make measurable impact for clients and customers. For 17+ years, I’ve worked with established brands like AT&T, Bayer, Cadillac, Con Edison, Microsoft, Morgan Stanley, Nestle-Purina, The North Face, and TIME. Just as importantly, I’ve carved out time to work with organizations like 9/11 Day, ACLU, AIGA, Advancement Project, GrowNYC, PBS, Yale University, and the National Endowment for the Arts.

I love creating complete digital and physical experiences that not only deliver functional benefits, but also reach people on an emotional level. The most interesting challenges are ones where we have the opportunity to positively shape our environments and behaviors. I want to design a more inclusive world where cities are smart, healthy food is delicious, and technology benefits our lives.

I’ve been a visiting professor at my alma matter, Rhode Island School of Design, and have lectured at NYU, Parsons, Brown, Texas State, Appalachian State, CUNY and Fordham. Outside of work, you’ll find me riding my road bike, playing jazz piano, or watching obscene numbers of movies without shame.
